10 Women Empowerment Movies You NEED To Watch

10. Captain Marvel

First off, a women superhero is EVERYTHING, it's amazing to see that women have the ability to be considered as superhero. This definitely normalizes that little girls can love superheros as much a little boys. Growing up, if a girl loved superheros it would be super weird, but I just love how much it has normalized as the years evolved. Anyone can be superheros!!!!

9. Wonder Woman

May I say that this movie was AMAZING. First of Gal Gadot plays Wonder Woman, which may I add she is truly a great actress. A movie that is directed towards feminism and totally ignoring societies perception of what women should be. Wonder Woman demonstrates that women can be fierce and still be classy.

8. Legally Blonde

Yes, she intended on going to the same school as her ex-boyfriend. BUT... she achieves to become a lawyer and shuts everyone else up. 7. Moana

Can I just start off by saying, this is the first Disney Princess movie where there is no love interest for the princess. Moana captures feminism but targeted for a young audience which makes everything even better!

6. Mulan

A movie about a woman warrior, where can I buy a ticket? Mulan captures the physical abilities of a woman. Demonstrating that woman are fearless, she sacrifices herself to save her father. Comes to show how much of a princess warrior she is, literally fighting for her loved ones. May I add that this is targeted for children, showing them that both boys and girls can complete the same challenges.

5. Brave

Yet another Disney movie about a daughter who goes against societal views and goes through her own adventures to becoming a warrior. She fights her way through all that life has to offer, and her bravery helps her achieve every obstacle.

1. Hidden Figures

The best movie to ever be filmed, three black woman trying to find success in a world where it is white dominated. The prove their intelligence in a room where people underestimate the, because of the color of their skin. They fight against racism and sexism in a workplace.
