5 Best Places to Relax in NYC

NYC is a place of attraction and is typically known to be a dream. Therefore, as someone who lives in NYC it can be difficult to find serenity in NYC. But here I will be introducing spots that are loved not only by me but by many individuals as well. If you followed through with my guide to self-love, you would know that focusing on your priorities is one of the key ways to the journey towards self-love. So these places are perfect for focusing on your priorities!

5. Central Park

Now I understand that in the city, parks are probably one of the places that are not calming. However, central park is so big that you can find places to relax and even sunbathe if it soothes you during the summer. With that being said, Central Park is a place where can best be enjoyed during the summer, because as a New Yorker is it recommended to go to parks during the winter or any cold days, the weather will simply mess up your 'me day'. But the best part of central park is that is it huge, so it has so much space to find a place where you really want to be alone. You may even want to do a self picnic there with your favorite foods. A park that is definitely recommended not only to New Yorkers but also tourist.

4. The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Looking at art can be extremely peaceful and having an artistic brother, it brings so much serenity to see different pieces of art and how different people perceive the world. Seeing the different pieces of art can really have you rethink life and how everyone has different experiences which draws a certain picture of the world. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is known to be one of the best art museums in NYC, so you can definitely go and plan a visit and spend some time alone looking at different artist and their designs. May I add that the structure of the museum in general is absolute gorgeous and can be really attractive for those who are love vintage/ancient type of look.

3. Brooklyn Botanic Garden

I believe that I have been here only once, but I could remember it so vividly because of how beautiful the scenery was. I've always been the type of person to love flowers and the visual of garden, for me personally it brings me so serotonin to see aspects of the environment blossom to become that beautiful. But going here alone would definitely take your mind off of everything. There's so much to see here, now if you do get many allergies, then plan your trip with an Allegra because this is an experience that cannot be missed. Plus going alone would help you appreciate your surrounding and maybe make you become aware of everything wrong with the environment, finding ways to make everywhere look like this beautiful garden.

2. Broadway Shows

Where do I start? I come from a low-income family so whenever school trips were planned to Broadway shows my happiness was above all. I love love Broadway shows, each and every one of them are so entertaining and it's so cool to see people having to perform in front of large groups. And for me personally, it's insane how they memorize all their lines and never mess up. I would 1000% recommend going to a Broadway show alone. If you have difficulty trying to find which Broadway show to attend, try finding one that relates to one of your favorite movies because there are always movies being recreated in Broadway.

1. Explore All of New York City

I know this is a hard one, but truly dedicate your day to exploring the city and finding restaurants and cafes that may sound great to try. But I understand that the city can be crowed, but when your alone you really focus on how much people really go about their day and have places they need to be. It's really interesting to explore the city alone and really appropriate how much New York has to offer, maybe you'll end up watching a Broadway show or even watching a movie alone. Overall New York City has so much to offer and it is great to explore the beautiful city everyone talks about.
